Heather Colache Joins GNJMA Board of Directors

We are pleased and honored to announce Heather Colache, Tourism Account Director and Atlantic City Film Commissioner of Meet AC – Atlantic City DMO is joining the Board of Directors of the Greater New Jersey Motorcoach Association (GNJMA).

Heather Colache’s passion for Atlantic City has paved the way for her success in the tourism industry. She started her career in Atlantic City’s casino industry in the early 1990s, holding various hospitality positions and working with group tour leaders. Heather then moved into hotel sales at the Sands Casino, marketing to groups and meeting planners.

In 2004 after a decade in the casino industry, Heather accepted a position as Tourism Manager at the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority where she developed and increased tourism revenues from domestic and international sources. She ascended in the ranks to Director of Tourism overseeing membership and all aspects of tourism. In 2015, she created the Atlantic City Film Commission, overseeing film productions in the City and became accredited through the Association of Film Commissioners International. The ACCVA was formally dissolved in 2011 and Meet AC was created as a private entity serving the meetings, conventions, sports, film, and leisure group markets. Heather continues her role at Meet AC as Tourism Account Director and Atlantic City Film Commissioner, where she oversees domestic groups, international leisure groups and film production. She is also responsible for writing and facilitating the NJ DMO grant.

Heather loves being a part of the Travel Industry and has made many lasting friendships with both clients and tourism professionals. She is always looking for the next great travel meeting adventure!

Heather lives in Galloway, NJ with her son (who is currently working on a nursing degree), two cats and two dogs. She also has a married daughter. When not working, Heather can be found sitting on the beach in the summer or around the campfire in the fall with her two grandchildren.

Congratulations, Heather, and thank you in advance for your time and willingness to help our Association Members and industry.
